As National Organ Donation Day approaches, Le Progrès was able to gather the testimony of Serge Grandvaux. This Mouchard resident has benefited from two cornea transplants, allowing him to see perfectly. He recognizes his good fortune and is now campaigning to inform and raise awareness among the general public about organ and tissue donation.

Serge Grandvaux still remembers it perfectly. That first warning, that time he was told he had an eye problem. "It was in 1966. At the time, before military service, there were three mandatory days of pre-selection. So I couldn't do my military service," explains this Mouchard resident, born in 1948. So he returned to his studies, to the École Normale Supérieure. His goal: to become a teacher.
